At our general outpatient office in Pleasant Grove, UT, you will be part of a team that provides mental health services primarily to adolescents and adults. Your expertise will support individuals facing challenges that fall largely within our speciality areas of focus, including trauma, OCD/anxiety, and non-substance-related compulsive/addictive behavior patterns. Utilizing trauma-informed, evidence-based practices and a client-centered approach, you will perform new client evaluations, treatment planning, and ongoing psychotherapy for your case load within a supportive environment that emphasizes trauma awareness, ethical standards, and modern, evidence-based therapeutic modalities. With new program development currently happening, you can be a part of a team that is growing and helping to shape innovative client offerings. Responsibilities Conduct thorough mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations using a biopsychosocial approach and current DSM criteria. Develop personalized treatment plans and maintain ongoing treatment records aligned with clinical documentation standards and protocols. Manage a caseload of clients and provide individual therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based modalities that are conducive to treating trauma, OCD/anxiety, and compulsive behavior, and other presenting issues. Proactively engage in appropriate client acquisition and retention activities including client care coordination and ongoing client assessment to monitor progress. Participate in periodic staff meetings. If needed, meet with assigned supervisor on a weekly basis and proactively coordinate opportunities for direct observation. Particularly interesting candidates will have a willingness and interest in helping to develop new programs that are currently being designed to be implemented in group settings. Qualifications A masters or doctorate-level degree from an accredited institution in clinical psychology, counseling, marriage and family therapy, social work, or related degree program. Hold a license (or pursuing a license) which is issued by the Utah Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing (DOPL) that qualifies you as a recognized provider of mental health counseling/psychotherapy in Utah with one of the following license types: ACMHC, CMHC, MFT, LMFT, CSW, LCSW, or Psychologist. Existing licenses must be unquestionably in good standing. Close adherence to ethical standards and professional behavior and responsibilities that are inherent to being a healthcare clinician. Experience in trauma-informed psychotherapy techniques. We are particularly seeking providers with training in EMDR, ART, Brainspotting, ERP, IFS, and other trauma-informed modalities. Applicants with interest in acquiring such training will also be considered. Be able to pass a background check. If fully-licensed, having existing contracts with health insurance networks is a plus. Skills Skills in conducting mental health assessments and diagnosis using a strong knowledge of current DSM diagnostic criteria. Skills in building therapeutic alliances and effectively working with clients, especially adolescents and young adults. Ability to complete effective, timely documentation within EHR software that can inform regarding progress in care and that demonstrates medical necessity. Experience working with and willingness to use TeleHealth platforms is highly preferred. Experience and/or interest in working in or facilitating groups is also preferred.
