2988840232-2 Apply for this job now Job Description Columbia Mental Health in Washington, DC seeks a part-time Mental Health Therapist to provide evidence-based outpatient therapy to diverse adults and adolescents. In this role, you will complete biopsychosocial assessments, develop and update treatment plans, deliver individual and group therapy, and coordinate care with psychiatrists and other providers. You will maintain accurate clinical documentation, support crisis intervention, and engage families when appropriate. Responsibilities Provide individual and group psychotherapy using evidence-based modalities Conduct comprehensive mental health and biopsychosocial assessments Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized treatment plans Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and progress notes Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurses, and other care team members Participate in case consultations, supervision, and team meetings Support crisis intervention and safety planning as needed Engage families or support systems when appropriate to treatment goals Ensure compliance with ethical, legal, and regulatory standards Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities Required Skills Psychotherapy and counseling Clinical assessment and diagnosis Treatment planning and goal setting Knowledge of DSM-5 and psychiatric conditions Electronic Health Record (EHR) documentation Crisis intervention and safety planning Evidence-based therapies (e.g., CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care) Interdisciplinary care coordination Clinical interviewing and risk assessment Cultural competence and trauma-informed practice
