Outpatient Therapist — Children & Adults Emerging Minds Community Services Position Overview Emerging Minds Community Services is seeking an Outpatient Therapist to provide quality counseling services to children, adolescents, and/or adults. Therapists are responsible for managing their assigned caseload, providing clinically appropriate therapy, maintaining timely documentation, and collaborating with clients, families, and other providers when appropriate. Therapists must also contribute to building their caseload. Key Responsibilities Conduct clinical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans. Provide individual and family therapy within your training and scope of practice. Provide evidence-based, trauma-informed, and person-centered interventions. Complete progress notes, treatment plans, assessments, and discharge documentation on time. Assess for suicide, self-harm, abuse/neglect, and other safety concerns and follow appropriate escalation procedures. Maintain an active caseload and consistent appointment availability. Follow up appropriately regarding missed appointments and client engagement. Coordinate care with families, schools, medical providers, psychiatric providers, crisis services, and community resources when appropriate. Participate in clinical supervision, case consultation, staff meetings, and required training. Respond promptly to documentation corrections and quality-review findings. Maintain HIPAA, professional ethics, confidentiality, and agency compliance standards. Qualifications Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy, or a related behavioral health field . Virginia LPC, LCSW, LMFT, Resident/Supervisee only. Experience providing behavioral health services to children and/or adults. Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, and documentation skills. Comfortable using an electronic health record (EHR). Ability to recognize and appropriately respond to behavioral health emergencies. Preferred Experience Experience with outpatient therapy, community behavioral health, trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, family concerns, serious mental illness, and/or co-occurring disorders is preferred. What We Expect We are looking for therapists who are clinically strong, dependable, organized, responsive to supervision, and committed to their clients. Therapists should be able to independently manage their caseload while knowing when to seek clinical consultation or escalate a concern.
