Job Description

Have you earned a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC), Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT), or similar degree? Do you love helping people from diverse backgrounds and of all ages? Are you eligible to be approved as a Licensed Resident in Counseling or Licensed Resident in Marriage and Family Therapy (in Virginia) and seeking opportunities to assist individuals who are struggling to address their mental health issues? If you answered "yes" to all of these questions, then consider applying for this very exciting Licensed Resident in Counseling or Licensed Resident in MFT opportunity with our counseling center! The Center for Counseling and Growth is seeking one (1) motivated and compassionate Resident in Counseling or Resident in MFT to join our friendly, supportive, and collaborative outpatient counseling team. Our new team member will work on-site (in the center) on 5 days per week (M-F) providing outpatient mental health counseling services to individuals, couples, and families. This is truly a job of service: to our neighbors who are struggling with mental health issues; to our community and community partners (DSS, CSB, Courts); and to our profession. Job responsibilities include providing outpatient mental health counseling services (individual, couples, family), completing and submitting clinical documentation in a timely manner (via electronic health records), and networking with our community partners. All applicants must be eligible, and intend, to apply to the Virginia Board of Counseling as a Licensed Resident in Counseling or Licensed Resident in Marriage and Family Therapy (to seek licensure as an LPC or LMFT in Virginia). Since our business is located in Virginia and our clients reside in Virginia, all of our clinicians must be approved by the Virginia Board of Counseling before they may provide on-site clinical mental health counseling services. Our full-time clinicians average 25 completed sessions per week which enables them to complete the requirements for Virginia (LPC or LMFT) licensure in approximately 2 years. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply! All applicants must have earned a Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or similar degree . Competitive hourly rates. Free individual and group supervision hours provided to all Licensed Residents in Counseling and Licensed Residents in MFT to meet Virginia Board licensure requirements. Furnished private office, HIPAA compliant web-based telehealth portal, billing, on-site supervisor, and scheduling of clients provided at no cost to all clinicians.
