Job Description:

City University of Seattle invites applications for a Full-Time Teaching Faculty position in the Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) program. In addition to teaching graduate-level courses, this position plays a key role in coordinating student clinical training, including practicum and internship experiences, clinical placements, supervision, and competency development. Working collaboratively with program leadership and faculty, the successful candidate will support students' clinical readiness, maintain relationships with clinical placement sites and supervisors, and contribute to program assessment and accreditation activities. Teaching responsibilities may be adjusted annually based on the workload associated with clinical training coordination. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Coordinate student clinical training processes, including practicum and internship placements, clinical readiness, and ongoing student progress. Develop and maintain relationships with clinical placement sites and clinical supervisors to support quality training experiences. Monitor student clinical hours, supervision requirements, and clinical competency development. Contribute to the assessment of student learning, clinical outcomes, and program effectiveness. Support program accreditation and continuous improvement activities, including compliance with Commission on Accreditation for Marriage and Family Therapy Education (COAMFTE) standards, reporting, and self-study preparation. Teach graduate-level MFT courses and advise and mentor students. Participate in admissions, student orientation, curriculum review, and faculty meetings. Promote ethical, systemic, and culturally responsive clinical practice. Collaborate with program leadership and faculty to develop and improve clinical training policies, procedures, and resources.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skills, and abilities required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. Master's or doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field. Current Washington State Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) credential, or eligibility to meet applicable university requirements. At least two years of graduate-level teaching experience. At least three years of clinical experience working with individuals, couples, and families. Demonstrated knowledge of clinical training, supervision practices, student assessment, and COAMFTE standards. Preferred Qualifications PhD, DMFT, or EdD. AAMFT Approved Supervisor status or status as an Approved Supervisor Candidate. Experience coordinating practicum, internship, clinical placement, or other clinical education activities. Experience in a COAMFTE-accredited or accreditation-seeking MFT program. Experience with program assessment, accreditation reporting, and faculty leadership.

Salary information:
