The District includes three TK-5 elementary schools and one 6-8 middle school, providing a high-quality public education to approximately 1,800 students in a supportive and engaging learning environment. Job Summary Job Summary The Certified Wellness Coach (CWC) is a state-certified professional established by California's Department of Health Access and Information as part of the Children and Youth Behavioral Health Initiative (CYBHI). Under the direction and supervision of an assigned site administrator and Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) credentialed or Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) licensed professional, a CWC provides non-clinical support for the behavioral health needs of children and youth, with a focus on wellness promotion and preventative services. The role of the CWC may include psychoeducation, system navigation, coping skills, and motivational interviewing. The CWC will engage and support students and youth in cultural, linguistic, and age-appropriate services, with the ability to assist in referring and connecting students and their families to higher levels of care as needed. The CWC operates as a part of a cohesive Multi-tiered System of Support (MTSS). View Job Description Requirements / Qualifications
  • Willingness to work towards and eligible to obtain a Certified Wellness Coach status from the Department of Health Care Access and Information (Any combination of education and experience that meets state eligibility, typically an associate or bachelor's degree combined with prior experience working with youth).
  • Willing to obtain a National Provider Identifier Number (NPI).
  • Department of Justice (DOJ) fingerprint clearance & TB clearance.
  • Bilingual Spanish preferred. Letter of Introduction Letter(s) of Reference Resume Requirements / Qualifications
