Job Description

Overview Full-time 8:00AM TO 5:00PM Monday through Friday Emerson Outpatient Rehab 4549 Emerson St Building 2, Suite 300 Jacksonville, FL 32207 The Rehab Tech supports the delivery of rehabilitative care under direct supervision by clinicians and site leadership. Performs tasks related to cleaning and monitoring of equipment and supplies, assisting with patient care delegated by clinicians, cleaning and organization within the department areas, clerical support and patient flow/transport. Responsibilities Assists with supply maintenance processes, including of monitoring supply levels and assist with ordering, stocking, as requested (linen, patient care or office supplies, etc). Utilizes supplies in a cost effective manner. Notifies supervisor immediately when equipment is damaged or broken. Cleans dirty/used therapy equipment after use and wipes down all therapy equipment and machines weekly to prevent visible dust with appropriate infection control procedures. Maintains clean and organized department areas. Provides appropriate and safe patient care assistance to clinicians (second set of hands) for delegated tasks such as: transfers, gait training, equipment set up, vital sign monitoring, etc. Maintains temperature logs and cleanings of the splint pan, hydrocollator, freezer, and paraffin according to requirements Performs clerical and customer service duties, as assigned, such as answering phones, scheduling of patients, assisting with patient outcome assessment, paperwork, charts, photocopies, running errands, communication with other departments, etc. Informs Supervisor/Manager of safety or operational issues Provides coverage for peers during personal leave Participates in departmental meetings, huddles and committees, as requested Performs all other duties as assigned by supervisor within job scope Checks work email daily
Qualifications Required Education :
GED or High School Diploma. Necessary Skills Good communication skills including verbal and non verbal Ability to work effectively with patients at all levels of ability/disability Experience Less than one year Inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred
Age of Patients Served All Age Groups Preferred Education:
Allied health coursework desirable Required Licensure/Certifications Basic Life Support from
American Heart Association Qualifications:
Required Education :
GED or High School Diploma. Necessary Skills Good communication skills including verbal and non verbal Ability to work effectively with patients at all levels of ability/disability Experience Less than one year Inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred
