Job Description

HCA Healthcare is seeking a Radiology Technologist for our Free Standing Emergency Department in Boynton Beach. In this role, you will perform diagnostic radiographic procedures, ensuring high-quality images to support accurate patient diagnosis and treatment. You will prepare and position patients, operate radiologic equipment, follow radiation safety standards, and verify patient identification and orders. The technologist collaborates with emergency physicians and nurses, maintains exam room and equipment readiness, documents procedures in the EMR, and provides compassionate, responsive care in a fast-paced emergency environment. Responsibilities Perform diagnostic radiographic exams according to physician orders and protocols Prepare, position, and educate patients for imaging procedures Operate and troubleshoot radiologic equipment and imaging systems Adhere to radiation safety and infection control standards Verify patient identity and exam orders, documenting accurately in the EMRCollaborate with emergency department physicians and nurses for timely care Maintain cleanliness, stocking, and readiness of imaging rooms and equipment Monitor patients during and after procedures, reporting changes in condition Assist with contrast administration per policy and provider direction Participate in quality assurance, continuing education, and performance improvement Required Skills Diagnostic radiography Patient positioning Radiation safety Operation of X-ray equipment Emergency department imaging workflows PACS image management Electronic medical record documentation Infection control practices Contrast procedure support Communication with multidisciplinary teams
