Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Technician (Med Tech) to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality patient care, assist with medical procedures, and support the overall well-being of residents in senior living, nursing homes, or community care settings. Your expertise will help ensure that residents receive personalized care in a safe, respectful, and nurturing environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with diverse healthcare needs, including geriatric patients, those with dementia or Alzheimer's, and individuals requiring hospice or home care services. Duties Assist with daily resident personal care activities such as bathing, dressing, mobility support, and hygiene maintenance Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration rate, and temperature accurately using electronic health record (EHR) systems Administer medications and treatments following physician orders while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards Support residents with specialized needs such as tube feeding, catheter care, and memory or dementia care Document medical information precisely in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and ensure compliance with state healthcare regulations Assist with mobility and manual handling tasks safely to prevent injury for residents and staff Respond promptly to emergencies by providing first aid or CPR as needed and supporting hospice or palliative care efforts Qualifications Proven experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home & community care environments Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and senior care best practices Certification from the State Board of Nursing or relevant licensing authority for Med Techs or Nursing Assistants Hands-on experience with medical documentation and electronic health record (EHR/EMR) systems such as Cerner or similar platforms Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining resident confidentiality at all times Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks involved in patient care Strong communication skills for effective caregiver-resident interaction and team collaboration Valid CPR and First Aid certifications; additional training in Alzheimer's or dementia care is a plus Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges is highly valued Join us to be part of a caring team committed to enhancing the quality of life for our residents through compassionate caregiving, meticulous medical support, and dedicated service. From $15.50 per hour Expected hours: No more than 29.0 per week
