Responsibilities Assist with patient intake, vital signs measurement, and documentation of medical histories using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner. Provide personal care assistance to residents or patients, including hygiene, mobility support, and basic activities of daily living. Monitor patient conditions by recording vital signs, observing symptoms related to geriatrics, dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other chronic conditions. Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations and uphold all state healthcare laws. Assist with medical procedures such as catheter care, wound dressing changes, and basic anatomy or physiology-related tasks. Support emergency response efforts by performing CPR or first aid when necessary and ensuring safety during heavy lifting or manual handling tasks. Requirements Proven experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and senior or memory care practices. Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA), with current CPR and First Aid certifications. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner for accurate medical documentation. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks involving residents or equipment. Understanding of HIPAA guidelines and maintaining strict patient confidentiality at all times. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia is highly desirable.
