Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to provide essential support and care to individuals in various settings, including home care, assisted living, and long-term care facilities. As a PCA, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for residents by delivering personalized assistance with daily activities, health monitoring, and emotional support. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patients' vital signs and observe for any changes in health status, reporting findings accurately to healthcare professionals Administer medications following prescribed care plans and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy Support patients with meal preparation, feeding, and ensuring proper nutrition according to individual dietary needs Utilize patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques to ensure safe mobility and prevent injury Maintain detailed documentation of patient care activities, observations, and medication administration in accordance with facility policies Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering a caring and respectful environment Experience Prior experience working in group homes, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home health environments is highly preferred Demonstrated experience with patient observation, monitoring vital signs, and implementing care plans for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and experience maintaining confidentiality of patient information Hands-on experience assisting with ADLs and using patient transfer equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other mobility aids Familiarity with caring for individuals with developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or intellectual disabilities support needs Experience working with seniors or individuals requiring memory care or hospice services is advantageous Strong communication skills for client interaction and collaboration with healthcare teams Join us in providing compassionate care that truly makes a difference!
