Overview Currently seeking experienced and enthusiastic individuals to fill EMT positions to respond to non-emergency medical calls and inter-facility transports. Prospective applicants must have clean criminal and driving record. Applicants must have a valid NC EMT certification, current CPR, and a valid North Carolina Class C drivers license. Prospective applicants will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screen, criminal, driving record check. This work involves periods of strenuous activity and can require lifting and carrying loads in excess of 100 lbs. Friendly Medical Transportation is a 24/7 service. Responsibilities Provide immediate medical attention to patients in emergency situations. Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine the severity of conditions. Administer basic life support and airway management as needed. Perform triage and prioritize patient care based on urgency. Transport patients safely while monitoring vital signs and providing ongoing care. Administer medications and injections as directed by medical protocols. Utilize aseptic techniques during procedures to prevent infection. Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and treatment provided. Uphold knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and emergency medicine principles. Requirements Proven experience as an EMT or in a similar role within emergency medicine or urgent care settings. Familiarity with triage processes and critical care transport protocols. Strong understanding of vital signs monitoring and patient assessment techniques. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during patient transport and care activities. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is essential for transporting patients. Knowledge of medication administration procedures and experience administering injections. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams. Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments while maintaining composure.
