In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive medical and personal care to residents in a senior living or healthcare facility, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. As a Med-Tech Live-in, you will work closely with nursing staff and other caregivers to deliver high-quality support, assist with daily activities, and maintain accurate medical documentation. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help create a warm, safe environment where residents thrive. Duties Assist residents with personal care activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support in accordance with care plans. Monitor and record vital signs, medication administration, and changes in residents' health status using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems. Support residents with specialized needs including Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, and hospice support. Perform manual handling tasks safely when assisting residents with transfers or mobility exercises, adhering to proper techniques. Manage medical documentation accurately, including medication logs, medical records, and incident reports while maintaining strict confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Respond promptly to emergencies by providing first aid or CPR as needed and following state healthcare regulations. Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure residents' needs are met while maintaining a safe environment that complies with all relevant regulations. Qualifications Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care settings is highly preferred. Demonstrated experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or those requiring memory care is advantageous. Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and senior care best practices is essential. Certification in First Aid and CPR is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training or state Board of Nursing licensure are a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks involving resident transfers or equipment use. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or similar platforms for accurate documentation. Strong caregiving skills coupled with excellent communication abilities to effectively interact with residents and team members. Knowledge of state healthcare regulations and maintaining resident confidentiality at all times is mandatory. Join us as a Med-Tech Live-in and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents! Bring your energy, compassion, and expertise to a role that's both rewarding and impactful—where every day offers an opportunity to improve someone's quality of life while advancing your career in healthcare.
