PCT:
Responsibilities A Patient Care Technician work s alongside doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide direct patient care in a variety of healthcare environments. The Patient Care Technician plays a vital role in the healthcare delivery setting by improving patient satisfaction and influencing patient throughput.
Qualifications Job Requirements:
Prior experience in performing EKG and phlebotomy procedures . 6 months in an Acute C are hospital setting. BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care. Performs EKGs , phlebotomy, and blood g lucose testing.
Preferred Job Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent . Patient care or EKG and phlebotomy certificate. Cardiac Credentialing International Certification a plus. EKG and Phlebotomy c ertifications /certificates. Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education, and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
