Job Description

We are committed to enriching the lives of seniors through dedicated care and community engagement. Overview We are seeking a dedicated Medical Technician to join our team during the middle shift. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in senior care, with experience working with geriatric patients and individuals with developmental disabilities. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in residents' lives by providing attentive, professional medical support within a dynamic and supportive environment. Duties Assist with resident personal care, including bathing, grooming, and mobility support, ensuring dignity and comfort. Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration accurately in accordance with medical protocols. Administer medications and treatments following prescribed orders while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards. Support residents with activities of daily living, including tube feeding, catheter care, and memory care needs related to dementia or Alzheimer's disease. Collaborate with nursing staff and healthcare professionals to coordinate resident care plans and report any changes in condition promptly. Assist in maintaining compliance with state healthcare regulations and facility policies related to senior living and healthcare services. Requirements Proven experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments with geriatric populations. Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and basic life support (BLS) including CPR. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia care is highly desirable. Ability to perform manual handling tasks and heavy lifting safely while maintaining resident safety at all times. Valid certification in first aid and CPR; current licensure from the State Board of Nursing is preferred. Strong communication skills for effective caregiver communication and resident interaction; understanding of HIPAA regulations essential. Knowledge of medication administration procedures, vital signs monitoring, and basic nursing skills necessary for comprehensive patient care. From $17.50 per hour
