Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to provide essential support and care to individuals in various care settings, including group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and home health environments. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for clients through attentive personal care, patient monitoring, and assistance with daily activities. 16-year-old Autistic boy located in Anderson SC 4-5 times a week 4 hours a day. 4/4:30-8/8:30 Duties Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using appropriate patient transfer methods and manual handling techniques. Monitor patients' vital signs and observe for any changes in health status, reporting concerns promptly to healthcare professionals. Administer medications following prescribed instructions while adhering to HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality. Help with meal preparation/ snack and ensuring proper nutrition tailored to individual dietary requirements. Provide companionship and emotional support while fostering client communication and respecting residents' rights. Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning duties and adherence to infection control protocols. Document care provided accurately in care plans and ensure compliance with healthcare standards. Skills Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring. Excellent communication skills for engaging with clients respectfully while advocating for their needs. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of patient information at all times. Competence in first aid and CPR certification to respond effectively in emergencies. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays enhances your ability to provide personalized support. Ability to follow detailed care plans and adapt caregiving approaches based on individual requirements. Strong organizational skills for managing multiple responsibilities efficiently within a caregiving environment.
Pay:
From $15.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 per week
