" Videos Duties Help Total Rewards of a Allied Health Professional This is considered the full performance level for the Health Technician (Telehealth Clinical) position. The incumbent performs a full range of duties and is responsible for day-to-day operion of telehealth services the assigned locion and between the assigned locion and remote sites of care. The incumbent may receive guidance from more experienced staff members and may provide guidance to less experienced staff members but requires minimal direct supervision. Assignments associed with this position include, but are not limited to: preparing the clinical environment, which may include preparing medical and telecommunicions equipment to be used for clinical examinion and trement; serving as a telepresenter within scope of practice during clinical video telehealth (CVT) and VA Video Connect (VVC) encounters including tasks such as establishing and maintaining video conferencing connections, making introductions between pient sites and provider site, following instructions of a clinician to facilite an effective clinical encounter; serving as an imager and clinical da manager for store and forward telehealth (SFT) clinical encounters including tasks such as capturing images, collecting da and transmitting them electronically for clinical review in accordance with VHA nional guidelines; taking measures to ensure pient care is delivered safely by following approprie procedures for inventory management, cleaning of clinical equipment and the care environment while following all pient safety guidelines, protocols, and procedures; completing standardized clinical questionnaires and temples within scope of training and applicable guidelines; ensuring th pient privacy is protected by complying with all informion security and pient privacy regulions; receiving and scheduling requests for simple and complex intra-facility, and interfacility telehealth appointments using an electronic resource-based scheduling system; screening pients for Telehealth modality and referring pients th do not meet established criteria to approprie care; monitoring and maintaining schedules of rooms, pients, technologies, clinical providers and presenters as needed to ensure efficient telehealth operions; providing pient educion via approved merials; Supervisory Controls reled to the position: How Work Is Assigned

Experience:
One year of experience in a health care field th demonstres the applicant's ability to perform the work or provides an understanding of the work such as but not limited to a medical or clinical assistant (or technician) or health technician. OR Educion. Four academic years above high school leading to a bachelor's degree with courses reled to the occupion.
OR Experience/Educion Combinion:
Equivalent combinion of experience and educion are qualifying for entry level for which both educion and experience are acceptable. Six months of experience in the health care field and two years of educion above high school th included least six semester hours in health care reled courses such as, biological science, surgical technician courses, nursing assistant or other courses reled to the position; or an associe's degree in a health care reled field; or Six months of experience in the health care field and successful completion of a course for health care technicians, hospital corpsmen, or medical service specialists given by the U.S. Armed Forces. May qualify based on being covered by the Grandfhering Provision as described in the VA Qualificion Standard for this occupion (only applicable to current VHA employees who are in this occupion and meet the criteria).
Grade Determinions :
Health Technician (Telehealth Clinical), GS-5 (Entry Level) Experience or Educion . None beyond the basic requirements. Health Technician (Telehealth Clinical), GS-6 (Full Performance Level) Experience . One year of experience equivalent to the next lower grade level Demonstred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA) . In addition to the experience above, the candide must demonstre all of the following KSAs. Comprehensive knowledge of computer systems and programs to perform a variety of tasks. Ability to communice, consult, and interact with other members of the healthcare team, external relions, customer service and pient educion. Ability to provide and receive guidance and technical direction. Ability to plan, organize, set priorities, work as a team member, and effectively complete assignments. Ability to read, interpret, and apply complex written instructions. Knowledge of general clinical policies and procedures in a healthcare environment. Skilled in the use of telehealth technologies for the facilition of telehealth clinical encounters.

Physical Requirements:
