In this vital role, you will provide emotional support, assist with daily activities, and ensure patients feel safe, comfortable, and cared for throughout their hospital stay. This paid position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment, supporting diverse patient populations across various clinical settings. Responsibilities Offer companionship and emotional support to patients, fostering a reassuring environment during their hospital experience Assist patients with activities of daily living, including mobility, feeding, hygiene, and positioning Monitor patient safety by observing vital signs and responding promptly to changes or emergencies Support medical staff by helping with patient transfer methods and basic medical equipment operation Maintain accurate medical documentation and record patient interactions using electronic health records (EHR) systems Uphold patient confidentiality and adhere to infection control protocols to ensure a safe care environment Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to coordinate care and address concerns Skills Experience working in Level II trauma centers or hospital medicine settings preferred Knowledge of emergency medicine procedures and acute care practices Familiarity with patient safety standards, manual handling techniques, and infection control measures Ability to work with geriatric patients and those in post-acute or outpatient care environments Proficiency in medical terminology, vital signs monitoring, CPR certification, and basic life support (BLS) training Experience operating medical equipment and managing electronic health records (EHR) systems Strong communication skills for caregiver interaction and patient education in teaching hospital or clinic settings Embark on a rewarding career where your dedication enhances patient experiences every day.
