Medical Assistant/Patient Care Coordinator Bhamb Spine Marina del Rey, CA Job Details Part-time $19 - $20 an hour 1 hour ago Qualifications Customer communication Customer service Intake Medical scheduling Attention to detail Full Job Description We are seeking a highly organized, dependable, and patient-focused Medical Assistant / Patient Care Coordinator. This role supports patients from their initial inquiry through surgical coordination in a high-touch concierge practice. Healthcare experience is welcomed but not required; we are willing to train an exceptional candidate who demonstrates sound judgment, professionalism, attention to detail, and an ability to learn quickly.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Schedule and coordinate patient appointments. Communicate with patients promptly, professionally, and compassionately. Obtain, organize, and sort medical records, imaging reports, and clinical documents. Manage patient intake, including demographic and insurance information. Perform insurance eligibility and benefits checks. Coordinate surgical scheduling and related preoperative requirements. Submit and track procedural and surgical authorizations. Communicate with imaging centers, referring offices, hospitals, and insurers. Maintain accurate, organized, and confidential patient records. Track outstanding tasks through completion and keep patients informed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Excellent organization and close attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Professional, reliable, and comfortable working directly with patients. Able to prioritize multiple time-sensitive tasks and follow through independently. Comfortable learning electronic medical records, scheduling platforms, and insurance workflows. Healthcare, medical assisting, surgical scheduling, or authorization experience is preferred, but not required. Conversational or greater familiarity with Mandarin or Korean is highly regarded.
Pay:
$19.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 24.0 - 32.0 per week
