Residential SUD Services/PACE Detox View Point Health provides comprehensive behavioral health and substance use disorder services to individuals and families across its service area. The Clinical Team Lead plays a critical leadership role within a short-term, medically monitored detoxification setting, ensuring high-quality, person-centered care while supporting access, clinical flow, documentation integrity, and operational performance. PACE Detox Center is a short-term, 24/7 residential substance use detoxification program focused on medical monitoring, stabilization, and early engagement in recovery services. The program emphasizes safety, therapeutic engagement, coordinated access to care, and timely transitions to appropriate levels of treatment. The Clinical Team Lead is a working supervisor who provides both direct clinical services and day-to-day leadership for key non-nursing clinical roles. This position supervises the Care Coordinator and Peer Coach positions and holds primary responsibility for coordinating access to care, supporting admission and discharge flow, and ensuring that clinical services are delivered in compliance with agency, payer, and regulatory standards. The Clinical Team Lead partners closely with the Charge Registered Nurse (RN) and Provider to support timely and clinically appropriate admission decisions, maintain program structure, and ensure that clinical and operational priorities remain aligned.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Clinical Leadership & Supervision Serves as the direct supervisor for the Care Coordinator and Peer Coach positions, providing ongoing guidance, support, coaching, and performance feedback. Provides day-to-day oversight of assigned clinical and paraprofessional staff, including documentation review for quality, accuracy, and compliance with agency and payer requirements. Participates in hiring, onboarding, orientation, training, performance evaluations, and corrective action processes for supervised staff. Provides clinical supervision to licensed clinicians as applicable and delivers direct therapeutic services to clients as needed. Access to Care & Program Flow Oversees and coordinates access to care activities, including referrals, screening support, admissions coordination, and communication with internal and external partners. Partners closely with the Charge RN to support timely admission decisions, manage census flow, and address barriers to admission or discharge. Leads and participates in Treatment Team meetings to support discharge planning, legal accuracy, and appropriate placement decisions. Works collaboratively with Access and Nursing teams across the View Point Health SUD Continuum of Care to ensure smooth transitions into and out of the program. Program Operations & Scheduling Maintains a consistent, therapeutic program activity schedule that aligns with Detox standards, staffing patterns, and client needs. Assists with development and management of staff schedules, including coverage planning, leave coordination, and holiday rotations. Ensures program operations support safety, structure, and therapeutic engagement at all times. Documentation, Compliance & Quality Ensures all clinical documentation is completed accurately, timely, and in accordance with agency policy, payer requirements, and regulatory standards. Monitors CareLogic alerts and documentation workflows to ensure compliance and minimize documentation deficiencies. Supports quality assurance initiatives and responds to audits, reviews, and corrective action plans as needed. Revenue & Performance Accountability Running and reviewing monthly operational and clinical reports; provides feedback and coaching to staff based on performance trends. Actively follows up on failed claims and documentation issues impacting billing and reimbursement. Coaches and trains staff on documentation practices that support accurate billing and maximize Fee-for-Service (FFS) revenue. Serves as a liaison with Billing and QA teams to resolve barriers to claim submission and payment. On-Call & Administrative Responsibilities Participates in the administrator on-call rotation (minimum one week per month), providing after-hours clinical consultation and operational support related to admissions, discharges, or milieu concerns. May be required to report onsite during emergencies while on call. Completes other duties as assigned to support program operations and agency goals.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in social work and counseling from an accredited college or university and licensure in the area of assignment and three (3) years of experience at the lower level social Worker, Licensed 3 (HCP052) or position equivalent; Master's degree in social work and counseling from an accredited college or university and licensure in the area of assignment and three (3) years of experience in the provision of therapeutic services with, which includes one () year in a managerial or supervisory role.
Note:
Some positions require associate or full licensure in the state of Georgia as an LAPC, LMSW, LPC, or LCSW..
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with individuals who are diagnosed with Substance Use Disorder Two (2) + years of experience in behavioral health field working with individuals with SUD and/or SPMI. Familiarity with ASAM. Experience with group therapy. Someone who is flexible and comfortable working in a rapidly changing environment. Experience delivering group skills training using evidenced based materials. Is FRIENDLY, KIND, and
POSITIVE.
Excellent communication & interpersonal skills; enjoys working w/ others; is flexible, quick to adapt to changing, fast-paced environment;
Requirements/Competencies:
Must be able to lift 20 pounds. Requires long periods of sitting/standing. Must have valid Georgia driver's license and Motor Vehicle Record in accordance with company policy. Candidates for selection must pass a criminal background check (including fingerprinting). Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and subject to random drug screens.
