About the role Apex Medical Group is a telehealth practice focused on hormone optimization, serving patients in 49 states. You will be the first point of contact for our patients. You will guide them through the Apex medical portal, coordinate their lab work, help them understand their results, and answer questions by phone, email, and messaging. This is a small team, and you will work directly with the owner and provider team. What you will do Patient Coordination Set up lab orders for new and existing patients and make sure results come back on time. Walk patients through the Apex medical portal, from account setup to ordering to messaging their provider. Review lab results with patients at a general level, explaining what was tested and what the numbers mean, while routing clinical interpretation and treatment decisions to the provider. Answer patient questions about TRT, hormone therapy, and general health topics through phone calls, emails, and messages. Provider Communication Act as the link between patients and providers. Relay patient questions, flag anything urgent, and follow up so nothing sits unanswered. Keep accurate notes and update patient records on every interaction. Track open items like pending labs, refill requests, and unanswered messages until they are resolved. What we are looking for Familiarity with hormone optimization. You have a working understanding of topics like testosterone, TRT, hormone therapy, and common lab markers. You do not need to be a clinician, but you should not be hearing these terms for the first time. Prior experience in patient support, medical office work, or customer support handling calls and emails in a professional setting. Strong written communication. Your messages will represent the practice to every patient we serve. Accurate, organized, and careful with details across multiple tools and tasks. Professional phone presence. Patients should feel taken care of after every call. Good judgment. You know when to answer, when to escalate, and when to ask. Discretion. You will handle sensitive health information and must protect patient privacy at all times. Reliable, punctual, and responsive during scheduled hours. Calm and helpful with frustrated or anxious patients. Comfortable learning new software quickly. Prioritizes their personal health and well being. Bonus qualifications Experience with telehealth platforms or patient portals. Experience reading or working with lab panels. Medical assistant or other clinical support background.
