Optimum Dental of Chickasha, Oklahoma Optimum Dental of Chickasha is looking for a cheerful, energetic, dependable, and experienced Patient Care Coordinator to join our passionate and patient-focused team! What We're Looking For:
At least 1 year of experience in general dentistry A self-starter who can work independently Goal focused A team player who is dependable, kind, and service-oriented Knowledge of case presentations . Knowledge of insurance verification , patient billing, and HIPAA compliance, Soonercare Available to work 32-40 hours/week , with flexibility as needed We're looking for someone who is not only knowledgeable , but also energetic, approachable and patient-focused —someone who can turn dental anxiety into understanding and trust.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Account Management Answer incoming calls and schedule dental appointments Greet patients warmly upon arrival and check in Maintain and update patient records and financial arrangements Verify insurance and assist with billing questions Ensure patient and guest needs are met Communicate clearly with patients regarding account details and treatment costs Insurance & Claims Collect and Verify Dental Insurance Verify dental benefits for Medicare patients Submit accurate claims with supporting documentation (e.g. radiographs) Follow up on pending claims and resolve issues promptly Collaborate with billing to ensure accurate reimbursement Treatment Knowledge & Patient Communication Confidently and professionally answer phone calls and schedule appointments Have working knowledge of common dental procedures (e.g., fillings, crowns, root canals, implants, ortho) to answer patient questions confidently and accurately Help patients understand the "why" behind their treatment, including clinical necessity, expected outcomes, and benefits Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure patients receive consistent messaging regarding their care Assist patients in prioritizing treatment, understanding timelines, and navigating financial options (insurance vs out-of-pocket, third-party financing, etc.) Compliance & Support Uphold HIPAA and OSHA standards Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with care Maintain an organized and complete schedule
