Job Description

Capitol Imaging Services, LLC 9821 Katy Freeway, Suite 715 Houston, TX 77024 We are seeking a compassionate, organized, and detail-oriented Patient Coordinator to join our imaging facility team. This role is essential in ensuring a smooth and supportive experience for our patients from the moment they schedule their appointment to the completion of their visit. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the healthcare industry, a passion for patient care, and the ability to manage multiple administrative tasks efficiently. As a Patient Coordinator, you'll play a vital role in making each patient feel seen, heard, and supported.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Scheduling:
Coordinate and schedule imaging appointments, ensuring optimal use of facility resources and timely patient care.
Insurance Verification:
Confirm insurance eligibility and benefits prior to appointments; communicate coverage details to patients as needed.
Appointment Management:
Monitor the schedule daily to identify cancellations and proactively backfill open slots to maintain efficiency.
Patient Communication:
Serve as the first point of contact for patients—answering calls, responding to inquiries, and providing clear, empathetic guidance.
Data Entry & Record Keeping:
Accurately input patient information into the electronic medical record (EMR) system and maintain up-to-date records.
Collaboration:
Work closely with radiologists, technologists, and administrative staff to ensure seamless patient flow and coordination.
Customer Service:
Provide a warm, welcoming environment for patients and their families, addressing concerns with empathy and professionalism.
Qualifications:
Bilingual is a plus. (English/Spanish)
Experience:
Minimum 1-2 years in a healthcare or medical office setting, preferably in radiology or imaging services.
Knowledge:
Familiarity with medical terminology, insurance processes, and HIPAA regulations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Proficiency in scheduling software and EMR systems
