From $35.00 per hour Position Summary Thrive Behavioral Health is seeking an experienced Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP) to serve as a part-time SUD Clinical Supervisor . This is an hourly, part-time position designed to grow with the clinical needs of the organization . Initial hours will be based on current supervision, documentation, IOP, and clinical oversight needs and may increase as our census, staffing, locations, and programming expand. The Clinical Supervisor will provide supervision and development of SUDPTs and SUD staff, support clinical quality and documentation, and provide oversight of substance use disorder programming across Thrive Behavioral Health. We are continuing to expand our SUD services, including outpatient and intensive outpatient programming, Medicaid/Apple Health services, commercial insurance services, and community-based partnerships. Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Supervision & Staff Development Provide clinical supervision to SUDPTs, SUDPs, and assigned clinical staff. Ensure supervisees practice within appropriate scope, credentialing, and agency requirements. Provide coaching, consultation, corrective feedback, and professional development. Train developing clinicians in assessment, treatment planning, ASAM criteria, documentation, group facilitation, ethics, discharge planning, and continuing care. Maintain required supervision documentation and records. Support onboarding and development of new SUD clinical staff. Clinical & IOP Oversight Support clinical oversight of outpatient and intensive outpatient SUD programming. Help ensure appropriate clinical coverage for scheduled groups and services. Support clinical consistency across Thrive locations and community-based programs. Provide consultation regarding level of care, ASAM placement, treatment recommendations, relapse prevention, and discharge planning. Identify clinical staffing or coverage concerns and communicate them promptly to leadership. Documentation & Quality Assurance Review assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, ASAM documentation, discharge summaries, and continuing-care documentation. Ensure documentation supports medical necessity and appropriate level of care. Support documentation standards for commercial insurance and Medicaid/Apple Health services. Conduct or support chart reviews and quality-assurance activities. Provide staff education and corrective feedback when documentation does not meet agency, payer, or regulatory standards. HIPAA, 42 CFR

Part 2, mandated reporting requirements, professional ethics, and applicable Washington State regulations. Program Development Because Thrive Behavioral Health is growing, this role will also help strengthen clinical systems as needs evolve. The Clinical Supervisor may assist leadership with: Developing clinical workflows and standards. Identifying training needs. Strengthening documentation processes. Supporting new SUD programs and locations. Improving clinical communication and accountability. Preparing the clinical team for increased census and expanded services.

Required Qualifications Candidates must have:

Active Washington State Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP) credential in good standing. Ability to provide clinical supervision to SUDPTs in accordance with Washington State requirements. Experience providing substance use disorder treatment. Strong knowledge of ASAM criteria . Experience with SUD assessments, treatment planning, progress notes, discharge planning, and continuing care. Knowledge of outpatient and/or intensive outpatient SUD treatment. Strong clinical documentation and chart-review skills. Ability to train, supervise, and develop SUDPTs and other clinical staff. Strong professional communication, organization, and leadership skills. Ability to work effectively within a growing organization where systems and programs continue to develop. Preferred Experience Preference may be given to candidates with experience in: Intensive outpatient programs (IOP). Medicaid/Apple Health behavioral health services. Commercial insurance documentation and authorization requirements. SUDPT supervision and development. Behavioral Health Agency requirements in Washington State. Co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. Chart audits and quality assurance. Community-based or shelter-based behavioral health services. Startup, expansion, or program-development environments. Schedule & Growth This is an hourly, part-time position . Hours will initially be based on the current clinical needs of Thrive Behavioral Health and may fluctuate as programming develops. There is significant potential for the role to grow in hours and responsibility as: Client census increases. Additional SUDPTs and clinical staff are hired. IOP programming expands. Medicaid/Apple Health services grow. Additional locations and community partnerships are developed. Clinical supervision and documentation-review needs increase. The successful candidate should be comfortable beginning in a part-time capacity while helping us build toward the next stage of growth.

Compensation Starting compensation:

$35.00 per hour Compensation may be reviewed as the scope of the position, clinical responsibilities, supervision needs, and organizational growth increase.
