This is a direct hire role in a production environment where you'll learn to operate a hydraulic shear, handle steel safely with cranes, magnets, and forklifts, and keep quality high from first cut to final band. Why this role No prior shear or steel experience required — full training from day one Consistent schedule with no weekends Real earnings growth: probationary raise, overtime, annual raises, and bonuses Benefits begin upon hire What you'll do Set up and run a hydraulic steel shear to required specs Stage, move, and load steel using an overhead crane, magnet, forklift, and by hand Use precision measuring tools to inspect finished sheets and strips Package finished material with air-powered banding tools Record output, print tags, and follow work orders via basic computer/calculator tasks What you bring Reliable attendance and a long-term mindset Comfort with physical, fast-paced, hands-on work Basic math, reading, and measuring ability Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and contribute to a team Experience in warehouse/manufacturing is a plus but not required Schedule & pay 1st
Shift:
Mon-Thu 4:00 AM-2:30 PM (30-min lunch); Fri 4:00 AM-12:00 PM — Friday paid at time and a half, no lunch — $18.50/hour 2nd
Shift:
Mon-Thu 2:30 PM-1:00 AM (30-min lunch); Fri 8:00 AM-4:00 PM — Friday paid at time and a half, no lunch — $19.50/hour On 2nd shift, when Friday 8 AM is worked, Thursday ends early at 11:00 PM (instead of 1:00 AM) Some Fridays off entirely (either shift) Overtime available to boost take-home pay +$0.50/hour after 60-90 day probation, plus annual raises and bonuses (with potential for more frequent bonuses) Benefits (start upon hire) Health, dental, and vision insurance PTO accrual 401(k) retirement plan with 401(k) matching Advancement Cross-train on additional equipment Pitch in with shipping and receiving as needs and interests align Ready to get started?
