Male Direct Support Professional (DSP) Full-Time, Monday-Friday Butler Rescue Hands, Inc.

Pay:

$22.50 per hour

Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00

PM Mileage:

Mileage reimbursement provided for approved community activities/transportation Butler Rescue Hands, Inc. is seeking a reliable, patient, and experienced Male Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide one-on-one support to an adult male receiving DDS services. This position requires someone who is consistent, dependable, calm, structured, and comfortable supporting an individual who benefits from routine, redirection, community engagement, and assistance with daily goals. Responsibilities Provide one-on-one direct support in the home and community Follow the individual's established person-centered support plan and daily routine Assist with daily living skills and increased independence Provide appropriate prompting, coaching, and redirection Support community outings, appointments, activities, and social participation Encourage healthy choices and established routines Maintain professional boundaries while developing a positive and respectful working relationship Observe and appropriately report changes or concerns Complete accurate shift documentation and required service notes Follow all DDS, agency, HIPAA, confidentiality, and incident-reporting requirements Communicate professionally with supervisors, family/guardians, and members of the individual's support team Follow behavioral and safety strategies exactly as trained Maintain consistency with established expectations and support strategies Ideal Candidate We are specifically looking for someone who is patient but firm, dependable, observant, and able to maintain structure and consistency. The right candidate must be comfortable providing redirection without escalating situations and understand the importance of following an individual's established routine and support strategies. Requirements Prior DSP, DDS, behavioral support, IHS, residential, PCA, or related direct-care experience strongly preferred Experience supporting adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities preferred Ability to follow individualized behavioral and support strategies Excellent communication and documentation skills Reliable transportation and valid driver's license Ability to safely transport/support the individual during community activities as required Must successfully complete all required background checks and agency onboarding requirements CPR/First Aid certification required or ability to obtain within agency-required timeframe Must complete all required DDS/agency training Must be reliable and able to consistently work the Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM schedule This is not a temporary or fill-in position. We are looking for a committed staff member who can provide consistent, dependable support and become a stable part of the individual's support team.

Starting Pay:
