Full-Time /
Non-Exempt Schedule:
Sunday-Thursday / Flexible 8-hour shift between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
Pay:
$16.50 per hour, ($34,320.00annually) with higher compensation based on experience and education. About the Position IMPOWER is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join The Village Transitional Housing Program . This position provides hands-on support, supervision, transportation, and guidance to young adults as they develop independent living skills, pursue educational and employment goals, and work toward greater independence and self-sufficiency. Key Responsibilities Provide direct support and supervision to young adults and help maintain a safe, structured, and supportive living environment. Teach and reinforce independent living skills, including communication, organization, decision-making, cooking, cleaning, laundry, and household responsibilities. Assist residents with employment and educational goals, including job searches, applications, school enrollment, and tutoring. Plan and facilitate recreational, educational, and group activities that promote skill development, positive peer interactions, and personal growth. Safely transport residents to school, employment, appointments, shopping, recreational activities, and other approved locations using company vehicles. Respond appropriately to emergencies, behavioral concerns, conflicts, and crisis situations using approved intervention and verbal de-escalation techniques. Assist with resident move-ins and move-outs and help maintain a clean, safe, and orderly program environment. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Minimum of two (2) years of experience in child welfare, social services, human services, behavioral health, residential services, education, or a related setting. Strong verbal and written communication, planning, organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
