Job Description

Job Overview Join our dedicated team as a Community Living Support professional, where your compassionate care and active engagement will make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with diverse needs. In this role, you will provide essential assistance to promote independence, safety, and well-being within community and home settings. Your energetic approach and commitment to person-centered support will empower clients to achieve their goals and enhance their quality of life. This paid position offers a rewarding opportunity to work closely with individuals who have developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, and cognitive challenges, fostering a positive and inclusive environment. Responsibilities Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Support clients in developing life skills and promoting independence through personalized coaching and behavioral strategies Provide transportation assistance using standard passenger cars for appointments, community outings, or errands Implement behavior management plans tailored to individual needs to encourage positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors Collect and document data related to client progress, behavioral incidents, and service outcomes accurately and consistently Communicate effectively with clients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated care Support clients with communication needs, including the use of American Sign Language or other augmentative communication methods when applicable Skills Experience working with individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, or neurodevelopmental disorders Knowledge of special education principles and behavioral health practices Strong communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration Ability to operate a standard passenger car safely and responsibly Familiarity with home & community care practices and supporting patients with cognitive disabilities Experience assisting with ADLs and providing personal transportation assistance as needed Certification in First Aid and CPR; additional training in behavior management or caregiving is a plus This role is ideal for compassionate individuals eager to support others through direct service in community settings. Pay:
$15.00 - $19.00 per hour
