Job Summary:
A Personal Care Homemaker or Home Health Aide is recognized as a responsible individual who has been trained to provide personal care and homemaking services necessary to maintain a disabled or dependent person in safety and comfort of their own home.
Responsibilities:
  • To assist in performance of Activities of Daily Living and Instrumental activities of Daily Living per Registered Nurse established plan of care to enable the patient/client to remain in the community safely, free from falls and hospitalizations.
  • To submit paperwork in a timely manner according to agency policy and procedure.
Qualifications:
  • Certified Personal care Homemaker or Certified Home Health Aide; or
  • Equivalent training or experience could be substituted for the certification
  • Has the emotional and mental maturity necessary for establishing and maintaining a good work relationship with the client, client's family and the personnel of the agency.
Physical Requirements:
  • Hear and speak in a manner understood by most people
  • Stoop and bend
  • Travel to prospective client's residence
  • Climb stairs
Special Requirements:
  • Must have valid state Driver License and reliable transportation with current automobile insurance
  • Must be willing to work at various hours
  • Must attend and participate in continuing educational programs as they relate to job responsibilities.
PCAs are needed in the following areas: Southwick, Ludlow, Royalston, Granville, Belchertown, Athol , Tolland, Monroe, Petersham, Blandford, Rowe, Phillipston, Russell, Charemon, Winchendon, Westfield , Hawley, Templeton, Montgomery, Ashfield, Hubbardston, Southampton, Heath, Gardner , Huntington, Buckland, Ashburnham, Chester, Conway, Westminster, Middlefield, Shelburne, Princeton, Worthington, Colrain, Sterling, Chesterfield, Leyden, Leominster , Westhampton, Greenfield , Fitchburg , Easthampton, Deerfield, Ashby, Northampton , Whately, Townsend, Cummington, Bernardston, Luneburg, Plainfield, Gill, Sterling, Goshen, Montague, Clinton, Williamsburg, Sunderland, Lancaster, Hatfield, Leverett Shirley, Hadley, Northfield, Pepperell, Amherst , Erving, Groton, Pelham, Wendell, Ayer, Holyoke , Shutesbury, Bolton, South Hadley, New Salem, Berlin, Chicopee , Orange, Ware , Warren, Granby, Warwick, Douglas, Charlton, Webster.
Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
