Skill Creations is a human services agency that operates three service divisions. The ICF Division provides specialized long-term residential care to 191 individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in 15 different towns in North Carolina. The Community Operations Division provides residential and non-residential services to persons with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in their home community. The Child Development Division, with two locations in Goldsboro, provides high quality child care and preschool for children ages birth - 5 years. One center also offers after school care through age 12. Description Direct Support Professional - Community Based. Seeking meaningful employment? Become a Direct Support Professional with Skill Creations, Inc., a nonprofit agency helping people with disabilities reach their personal goals. Opportunities in Asheville and Waynesville. $16/hr Part time and full time available. The Direct Support Professional (DSP) is responsible for providing overall support and care for individuals receiving services from Skill Creations, Inc. Skill Creations serves people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities, traumatic brain injury, and secondary mental health/substance abuse issues. The DSP works in the person's home and/or out in the community, providing care according to the individual's specific needs and their plan(s) of care. The Direct Support Professional may help with personal care, behavioral support, medication administration, job coaching and assistance and/or independent living skills. The Direct Support Professional also creates opportunities to engage in communication and recreation/leisure.

Requirements:
