Job Description

Job Summary The Resident Care Associate plays a vital role in providing compassionate and personalized care to residents in a supportive environment. This position involves assisting individuals with daily living activities, promoting their independence, and ensuring their overall well-being. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for residents. This is an awake position, working 10:00pm to 6:30am, every other weekend, every other holiday. Responsibilities Provide direct support to residents in daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, providing a snack or small meal if a resident awakes and request a sandwich, piece of fruit, granola bar, cereal. Assist residents with mobility and transportation needs within the community. Monitor and document residents' health and behavioral changes, reporting any concerns to the appropriate staff. Provide safety checks during the NOC shift. Maintain a clean and safe living environment for all residents by cleaning areas of the building suitable for hours of sleep for our residents. Follow individual care plans. Support residents in managing their medications as required, assisting with scheduled and as needed medications. Foster a respectful and supportive atmosphere that encourages independence and dignity among residents. Light baking or assisting with starting breakfast when needed. Getting residents up, groomed, dressed - for early appointments or for those that like to get up earlier. Skills Experience in direct support or home community care is highly desirable. Knowledge of first aid procedures and emergency response protocols. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and team member. Compassionate approach towards senior care and memory care practices. Patience, empathy, and a commitment to enhancing the lives of those in your care.
