Responsibilities Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, reporting changes, and maintaining accurate care records Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and safety Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal service to promote proper nutrition and hydration Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident's to ensure safe transfers and mobility assistance Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning, laundry, and sanitation tasks Document patient observations, care activities, and incident reports clearly and promptly Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement personalized care plans tailored to individual needs Provide emotional support and companionship to foster a comforting atmosphere for residents or clients Experience Prior experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, group homes, or home & community care environments preferred Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, hospice care, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is highly valued Familiarity with patient observation techniques and monitoring vital signs such as blood pressure or pulse Hands-on experience with medication administration and understanding of HIPAA privacy standards Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary Experience supporting individuals with autism or disabilities in a caregiving capacity is advantageous Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications related to senior or home health care are a plus Strong communication skills for coordinating with team members and providing compassionate support to residents or clients Join us in delivering exceptional personal care that enriches lives!
