Role:
Bridge Community Development Center Mississippi is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant/Behavior Support specialist to join our team in Greenville, MS. In this rewarding role, you'll make a real difference in the lives of individuals by providing hands-on care and behavioral guidance in both home and community settings. Responsibilities:
Provide direct personal care assistance to individuals in home and community-based settings Implement individualized behavior support plans to promote positive outcomes Assist clients with daily living activities including hygiene, meal preparation, and mobility Monitor and document client behavior, progress, and any incidents accurately Support community integration by accompanying clients to appointments, activities, and outings Collaborate with care teams, families, and supervisors to ensure consistent, person-centered support Apply de-escalation techniques and crisis intervention strategies as needed
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required; relevant certifications in personal care or behavioral support preferred Prior experience in personal care, behavioral health, or human services strongly preferred Knowledge of behavior support strategies and positive reinforcement techniques Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for community-based assignments Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills Ability to pass a background check and meet state compliance requirements Compassionate, dependable, and committed to person-centered care
