Greenville, NC Are you a compassionate caregiver looking to make a meaningful difference in the life of someone with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD)? Abound Health is seeking a dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) or Personal Care Aide (PCA) to provide one-on-one support for a 29-year-old female in her home and community. Client Information 29-year-old female Schedule requested by the family: Two days per week from 8:00 AM-5:00 PM and/or 5:00 PM-8:00 PM Opportunities for additional shifts and hours may become available. This position involves providing individualized support to help the client achieve personal, behavioral, and social goals while encouraging independence and community involvement. Experience with client-specific medical needs is a plus; however, all required specialized training will be provided by Abound Health. Compensation $18.00 per hour (non-negotiable) $1,000 Sign-On Bonus for employees averaging 20+ hours per week Responsibilities Provide respectful personal care, including bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding, as needed. Assist with mobility and transfers using proper techniques and equipment when required. Support behavioral, social, and developmental goals. Encourage participation in community and recreational activities. Provide companionship and respite for the family. Complete required documentation and submit payroll information on time. Attend required training and staff development activities. Work independently while maintaining professionalism in the client's home and community. Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old. High school diploma or GED. Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance. Experience working with individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) preferred. Ability to pass criminal background, driving record, and healthcare registry checks. Must be willing to provide personal care and assist with lifting or transfers if needed. CPR/First Aid certification required (training provided by Abound Health).
