Job Description

Overview The Resident Care Assistant (RCA) provides compassionate, person-centered care and assistance to our residents. The RCA supports residents with activities of daily living, promotes independence and dignity, maintains a safe and comfortable environment, and promptly communicates changes in residents' condition or needs to the appropriate supervisor or licensed personnel. The RCA is expected to provide care in accordance with the resident's service plan, facility policies and procedures, and applicable New York State requirements. Responsibilities Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, showering, grooming, dressing, toileting, continence care, and oral hygiene, as permitted by the resident's service plan and applicable regulations. Assist residents with mobility, transfers, positioning, and ambulation using appropriate techniques and equipment. Assist residents with meals, snacks, hydration, and other routine needs as directed. Encourage residents to maintain as much independence as safely possible. Provide respectful, compassionate, and individualized care while protecting resident privacy and dignity. Respond promptly to resident requests and call systems. Provide appropriate assistance to residents with cognitive impairment or other special care needs in accordance with their service plan and facility procedures. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience working with older adults, in assisted living, long-term care, home care, or a related setting preferred. Must demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and coworkers. Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions and accurately document resident care. Must demonstrate dependability, professionalism, compassion, and respect for residents. Must meet all applicable New York State and facility requirements for the position.
Available Shifts:

Pay:
$17.00 - $20.00 per hour
