Job Description

Overview Creating Community Impact is seeking a kind and compassionate Direct Support Professional/Care Giver to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring their well-being and promoting their independence. You will work in their homes and community, collaborating with family to create a safe and nurturing environment for our clients. Duties
  • Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support
  • Prepare nutritious meals in accordance with dietary restrictions and assist residents with meal consumption as needed
  • Support clients during activities and social events to promote engagement and community involvement
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing routine cleaning tasks
  • Document care activities, client progress, and incident reports
  • Assist with transportation for appointments or community outings, ensuring safety during transit
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to foster trust, dignity, and independence
  • Follow all safety procedures including CPR and first aid
  • Support clients in staying independent at home Qualifications Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training or medication administration are advantageous.
Ability to lift objects safely and perform manual handling tasks. Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and collaboration with team members. Experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is a plus. Ability to pass a background check.
Pay:
$25.00 per hour
