Job Description
Overview Creating Community Impact is seeking a kind and compassionate Direct Support Professional/Care Giver to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring their well-being and promoting their independence. You will work in their homes and community, collaborating with family to create a safe and nurturing environment for our clients. Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support
- Prepare nutritious meals in accordance with dietary restrictions and assist residents with meal consumption as needed
- Support clients during activities and social events to promote engagement and community involvement
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing routine cleaning tasks
- Document care activities, client progress, and incident reports
- Assist with transportation for appointments or community outings, ensuring safety during transit
- Provide emotional support and companionship to foster trust, dignity, and independence
- Follow all safety procedures including CPR and first aid
- Support clients in staying independent at home Qualifications Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training or medication administration are advantageous.
