Job Description

Header Job Summary Join our compassionate team as a Personal Care Assistant and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring support with daily activities and personal care. In this vital role, you'll provide attentive, respectful, and personalized assistance to promote independence, dignity, and well-being. Whether working in a residential facility, assisted living community, or home health setting, your dedication will help clients thrive and feel valued every day. This paid position offers an opportunity to grow your caregiving skills while making a positive impact on those you serve. Header Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to ensure comfort and hygiene. Monitor patients' health by taking vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration; report any concerns promptly. Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and compliance. Help with mobility and transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts or patient transfer methods to promote safety during movement. Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding while respecting dietary restrictions and preferences. Maintain a clean, safe environment through regular cleaning duties and proper manual handling techniques. Document patient observations, care provided, and progress in accordance with facility protocols and resident rights. Provide emotional support and companionship to foster a caring environment for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's, or other neurodevelopmental disorders. Assist with transportation for appointments or community outings using personal transportation assistance when needed. Follow all safety procedures including first aid, CPR certification requirements, and emergency response protocols to ensure client safety at all times. Header Experience Candidates should bring proven experience working in caregiving environments such as group homes, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home health settings. Prior experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), dementia care—including Alzheimer's—and memory care is highly valued. Familiarity with care plans, medication administration, patient monitoring, and resident's rights enhances your ability to succeed in this role. Experience operating patient lifts like Hoyer lifts, performing vital signs measurement, assisting with ADLs, manual handling techniques, and providing long-term care are essential. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional training in hospice care or geriatrics is a plus. Your background supporting diverse populations—including seniors and individuals with intellectual disabilities—will empower you to deliver compassionate care that truly makes a difference. This comprehensive role invites energetic caregivers eager to provide top-tier personal support while advancing their skills in a rewarding environment!
