The DSP will assist residents with daily living needs while promoting independence, dignity, safety, and participation in the community. We are looking for individuals who are patient, reliable, attentive, and committed to providing high-quality care.

Responsibilities:

Provide supervision, support, and direct care to residents Assist with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, dressing, grooming, and other personal-care needs as required Prepare meals and assist residents with eating when needed Support residents with household routines and independent living skills Assist residents with community activities, appointments, errands, and outings Transport residents when assigned and authorized Follow each resident's individualized service plan, behavior support plan, and applicable care instructions Observe and promptly report changes in a resident's health, behavior, condition, or needs Complete required daily documentation and service records accurately and on time Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and comfortable home environment Follow emergency, health, safety, infection-control, and incident-reporting procedures Immediately report suspected abuse, neglect, exploitation, or other reportable incidents in accordance with applicable requirements Assist with medication-related tasks as permitted by applicable requirements, nursing delegation, training, and company policy Attend and successfully complete required orientation and ongoing training Communicate professionally with residents, coworkers, supervisors, families, and other members of the individual's support team

Qualifications:

Must be at least 18 years old High school diploma or GED preferred Previous caregiving, group home, HCS, IDD, behavioral health, or direct-care experience preferred but not required Must be dependable and able to report to scheduled shifts consistently Must be able to communicate effectively and complete required documentation Must be able to work respectfully and professionally with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities Must successfully complete all required orientation and training Employment is contingent upon successful completion of applicable criminal-history, registry, exclusion, and other employment screenings required by Texas HHSC regulations Must remain eligible for employment under applicable state and federal requirements

Transportation Requirements:

For positions involving transportation of residents, employees must have a valid driver's license, current automobile insurance, and meet company driving requirements.

Schedule:

Full-time, part-time, and PRN positions available. Day, evening, overnight, and weekend shifts are available.

Pay:

$15.00-$17.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
