Job Description

Senior Lab Technician Job DescriptionJob Description Lab Technician Job Description Join our dynamic team as a Lab Technician, where you will play a crucial role in processing canine blood specimens. You will manage sample collection, process specimens for four to five hours, and document findings. Your work will be conducted in a controlled lab environment, ensuring the highest standards of aseptic technique. Collaborate with a small team while also working independently. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM. Responsibilities Process canine T-cell specimens in a lab setting. Perform aseptic techniques and aseptic processing. Document findings and processing results. Conduct preparatory activities, including loading samples on plates and sterilizing lab items. Collaborate with two other lab technicians and occasionally work independently. Conduct sample checks once to twice a month on weekends. Essential Skills 1+ years of experience in quality control, aseptic techniques, aseptic processing, and pipetting. Additional Skills & Qualifications Open to candidates with varying educational backgrounds. Experience with USDA Animal Health is advantageous but not required. Experience with cell culturing and T-Cell Culture is beneficial. Work Environment Work in a lab environment with a team of 3-4 lab technicians. You will report to the lab supervisor and work primarily during the day shift from Monday to Friday. The position may require weekend sample checks once or twice a month. The team is focused on impactful work, such as contributing to curing cancer in dogs. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lenexa, KS. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
