Job Description

Akkodis is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Lab Technician for a Contract with a client in Simsbury, CT. The ideal candidate will support product reliability and performance testing by conducting hands-on evaluations, analyzing failures, and documenting test results.
Rate Range:
$35/Hour to $39/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Electro-Mechanical Lab Technician Responsibilities include:
Perform product reliability and performance testing using a variety of laboratory equipment and test fixtures. Conduct root cause analysis on product failures and provide recommendations for corrective actions. Design, fabricate, and assemble test fixtures, test equipment, and product prototypes in collaboration with engineering teams. Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair laboratory equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations. Document test procedures, results, and technical findings in clear, concise reports. Support laboratory maintenance, continuous improvement initiatives, and compliance with safety and environmental standards.
Required Qualifications:
Associate's degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience in Electronics, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related technical field. Minimum 5+ years of experience in an electro-mechanical laboratory, testing, or product evaluation environment. Strong hands-on experience with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic systems, including the ability to read schematics and engineering drawings. Experience building prototypes, test fixtures, and operating a variety of laboratory and machine shop equipment. Ability to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair testing equipment while documenting results in clear technical reports. Pay Details:
