Lens Source Optical Lab is Hiring!
POSITION LOCATION
WABASH, IN - On-site Pay rate: $14.69-$19.87 (Wage will depend on the applicant's knowledge, skills, and experience)
Position Summary:
A Technician in our Lens Source Optical Lab (LSOL) is responsible for managing and controlling work within the Finish Side department. This includes determining workflow of job trays and inserting lenses into frames.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITES
: Maintain, balance and prioritize jobs while working in a fast-paced environment. Inventory Control - Picking and Receiving Order Management - Data Entry and Processing Perform work in the Check In, Layout, Insert, and Check Out functions within the Finish Side department at any given time. Provide assistance to the finish production lead through effective communication. Maintain organized and clean work area, including equipment. Maintains compliance with the organization's confidentiality policy in accordance to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). Monitors MWEC processes to ensure compliance with the organization's policies and with the guidelines set by relevant regulatory agencies.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
: High school graduate, or equivalent

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

Physical Activity:
Reaching, Standing, Walking, Fingering, Grasping, Feeling, Talking, Hearing, Repetitive motion.
Physical Requirements:
Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of forced frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Visual Acuity:
The worker is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned.
Work Conditions:
The worker is subject to noise. There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above ambient noise level. The worker is subject to hazards. Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals. Experience Preferred Previous experience in a fast-paced environment a must! Previous manufacturing experience helpful.
