Abbeville General Hospital is hiring for a

Medical Laboratory Technician Position :

Full Time Medical Laboratory Technician with previous hospital experience preferred.

Positions avaliable:

Med Lab Tech (3:00p-11:30p)

• One (1) Avaliable Must be able to operate laboratory equipment and apparatus in assigned area.

Must be proficient in the acquisition of samples from patients. Must have knowledge of office procedures. Must demonstrate understanding of the purpose and elements of the compliance program and complete all educational elements for training and ongoing compliance. Must demonstrate and practice principles in his/her daily work that adhere to the HIPAA Privacy/Security standards,

Code of Ethics, and AGH's Standards of Conduct Medical Laboratory Technician Position Required Experience:

Previous experience in hospital or clinic setting preferred. Ability to work weekdays, weekends, weeknights and holidays as needed.

Medical Laboratory Technician Position Required License:

State of Louisiana

• Clinical Laboratory Scientist
• Technician Certification
• MLT ASCP, NCA, AMT, ISCLT or equivalent.

Medical Laboratory Technician Position Educational Requirements:

Graduate from an approved Medical Laboratory Technician program and certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician by AMT, ASCP,NCA, ISCLT or equivalent

Medical Laboratory Technician Position Physical Requirements :

Medium Work as defined by the U.S. Department of Labor constitutes a maximum lift of 21-50 pounds on occasion and/or a maximum lift of 11-25 pounds on a frequent basis
