We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Sleep Lab & Home Sleep Testing Coordinator to oversee the daily operations of both our in-lab sleep testing services and Home Sleep Apnea Testing (HSAT) program. This is a hands-on coordination role for someone who understands sleep medicine, communicates well with patients and clinical staff, and can keep multiple moving parts organized without losing attention to detail. Position Summary The Sleep Lab & Home Sleep Testing Coordinator is responsible for coordinating patient testing from the time an order is received through study completion and physician interpretation. This position serves as the primary operational connection between patients, providers, technologists, scheduling staff, and outside HSAT vendors. The coordinator will help ensure that studies are scheduled correctly, required documentation is complete, equipment and testing systems are ready, results are processed promptly, and both programs remain compliant with Parkway policies, payer requirements, and applicable AASM standards. titration, split-night, MSLT, and MWT studies Review orders and supporting documentation for accuracy before scheduling Confirm that required authorizations, clinical documentation, and patient instructions are completed Maintain the sleep lab schedule and help coordinate nighttime technologist coverage Prepare patient charts and verify that ordered testing protocols are clearly communicated Monitor study completion, scoring status, physician interpretation, and report finalization Identify incomplete or technically inadequate studies and coordinate the appropriate follow-up Assist with equipment readiness, supply inventory, troubleshooting, and communication of maintenance needs Support quality assurance, inter-scorer reliability, competency tracking, and accreditation readiness Communicate scheduling changes, clinical concerns, and operational issues to the Sleep Lab Manager Home Sleep Testing Program Manage the daily workflow of Parkway's HSAT program Review HSAT orders and documentation for completeness and medical necessity Coordinate device shipment, patient pickup, setup, education, and return Provide clear instructions to patients on proper device application and use Monitor testing status through Parkway's HSAT platforms and vendor systems Follow up on devices that are not activated, returned, or successfully completed Review incoming studies for adequate recording time and technical quality Coordinate repeat testing when studies fail or are technically inadequate Track studies through scoring, physician interpretation, and delivery of results Communicate with HSAT vendors regarding technical problems, missing data, and equipment replacement Maintain accurate tracking of devices, patient status, results, and outstanding actions Additional Responsibilities Answer patient questions regarding sleep testing procedures and expectations Communicate professionally with referring providers and internal departments Maintain accurate documentation within the electronic medical record and applicable testing platforms Protect patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements Track departmental performance measures, turnaround times, incomplete studies, and testing volume Help identify workflow problems and recommend practical improvements Assist with policy review, staff education, and AASM reaccreditation activities Provide backup support within the sleep department when needed Qualifications Previous experience in a medical office, healthcare setting, or clinical environment is required Sleep medicine or sleep laboratory experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided to the right candidate Experience coordinating patient care, scheduling, referrals, authorizations, or diagnostic testing is preferred Strong organizational skills with the ability to track multiple patients, tasks, and deadlines Excellent written and verbal communication skills Comfortable communicating with patients who may be anxious, frustrated, or unfamiliar with sleep testing Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify missing or conflicting information Experience with electronic medical records, scheduling systems, and healthcare software is preferred Ability to learn sleep-testing procedures, equipment, and software Ability to work independently, prioritize appropriately, and follow issues through to resolution What Parkway Offers Competitive compensation based on experience and credentials Full-time daytime schedule Employer-paid employee health insurance premiums Paid time off 401(k) with employer matching Aflac supplemental benefit options A collaborative work environment within an established sleep medicine practice The opportunity to take ownership of two essential diagnostic programs and help improve how patients move through the testing process Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is dependable, clinically knowledgeable, and exceptionally organized.
