Job Description

Category Respiratory - Sleep Tech Job Type Contract Take on an impactful role assisting patients with sleep disorders in a comprehensive sleep center recognized for its dedication to quality care. There's an urgent need for a skilled technologist to work overnight in a contract position, providing essential monitoring and support to patients undergoing sleep studies.
Schedule/Hours:
Overnight shifts (Nights) 40 hours per week
Qualifications:
Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) strongly preferred Open to respiratory therapists without RPSGT if working in an accredited sleep center; must hold an accepted credential or meet American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) training requirements RRTs with RPSGT or equivalent credential can perform all technical and scoring duties independently RRTs with RST or RRT-SDS may perform clinical duties within their scope without further training RRTs without a sleep-related credential must complete A-STEP or an accredited polysomnography program within 2 years and may perform technical duties under supervision for scoring All scoring duties require either personal sleep specialist credential or active supervision by a credentialed professional Experience with diagnostic and therapeutic sleep procedures preferred Excellent attention to detail, critical thinking, and patient-interaction skills
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct overnight polysomnographic recordings and associated procedures Provide patient education prior to, during, and after studies Score sleep studies within authorized scope or under required supervision Monitor equipment and adjust settings as necessary to ensure patient safety and study accuracy Maintain clear documentation and collaborate with sleep center team members Enjoy a rewarding opportunity to expand your expertise while supporting patient well-being.
