We're hiring a Sand Lab Technician for a full-time, 2nd shift position at an established metal casting and manufacturing facility in Elyria, OH. This is a hands-on manufacturing quality control position focused on testing sand materials, monitoring production quality, and supporting daily foundry operations. Ideal candidates have experience in manufacturing, quality control, laboratory testing, or industrial production. Previous foundry experience is a plus but is not required. Responsibilities

• Collect and prepare sand samples from production equipment and sand mixers.
• Perform laboratory testing on molding sand and core sand to ensure quality standards are met.
• Record and communicate test results to production and quality teams.
• Monitor sand mixing and transportation systems.
• Identify potential material quality issues to help prevent manufacturing defects.
• Calibrate and perform routine maintenance on laboratory equipment and sand mixers.
• Operate tow motors and other industrial equipment as needed.
• Maintain accurate testing records and documentation.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe. Qualifications
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1+ years of laboratory experience preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing, quality control, materials testing, or industrial production is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow testing procedures.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to read gauges, dials, and testing equipment.
• Ability to accurately document measurements and test results.
• Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced industrial environment.
• Strong communication skills and willingness to learn. Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
• Comfortable working in an industrial manufacturing environment with varying temperatures.
• Ability to wear required respiratory protective equipment. Schedule
