Stautzenberger Career College is currently seeking a Full-Time Medical Assisting Instructor to join our growing academic team. Position Summary The ideal candidate is passionate about medical assisting and committed to guiding and mentoring future healthcare professionals. This role requires a positive, professional educator who brings clinical expertise and a strong dedication to student success. Key Responsibilities Deliver instruction through lecture, lab, clinical, and/or online formats in accordance with established curricula Prepare and maintain daily lesson plans aligned with course objectives Follow course outlines, evaluation tools, and accreditation requirements Develop instructional materials as directed by academic leadership Monitor student attendance, progress, and retention while maintaining required documentation Grade assignments and provide feedback within 48 hours of submission Provide academic support during office hours or by appointment Advise students on academic performance, policies, and professional expectations Communicate student progress and concerns to academic leadership Submit requests for textbooks, equipment, and instructional supplies Monitor laboratory equipment and maintain inventory Participate in faculty meetings, committees, and professional development activities Maintain compliance with accreditation standards through ongoing training Ensure adherence to institutional policies and the college catalog Substitute for instructors when needed Maintain professionalism, punctuality, confidentiality, and ethical standards Perform other duties as assigned Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Medical Assisting preferred Minimum of five (5) years of experience in an ambulatory care setting Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credential required Proficiency in: Phlebotomy and specimen collection EKG administration Medication administration Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems Medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology Basic insurance billing and coding Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), database systems, Google Docs, and internet applications Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Ability to collaborate effectively with faculty and healthcare partners Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, and commitment to confidentiality Passion for student success and workforce readiness Previous teaching experience preferred but not required Compensation & Benefits Benefits include: Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance Paid Vacation, Sick Leave, and Personal Time Birthday Day Off 401(k) with Company Match Employee Assistance Program Professional Development Assistance for internal academic programs Stautzenberger Career College is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE/M/F/D/V/SO).
