$30•36/hour, commensurate with experience Help Us Build a Different Kind of Sleep Lab REST Airway Health is seeking an experienced, compassionate Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) to join our team and help launch a new approach to sleep and airway diagnostics in the Charleston area. This is an opportunity for someone who loves the science of sleep medicine but also believes the experience of undergoing a sleep study can•and should•be better. Who We Are REST Airway Health is a first-of-its-kind comprehensive Airway Diagnostic Center and Sleep Lab bringing physicians, dentists, and airway specialists together to understand complex breathing, sleep, and craniofacial health concerns from every angle. Our multidisciplinary team includes specialists in sleep medicine, ENT and sleep surgery, airway-focused dentistry, orthodontics, and myofunctional therapy. Rather than evaluating patients in silos, our specialists collaborate to develop one thoughtful, coordinated plan. We've also intentionally reimagined the sleep study experience itself. Our private, hotel-inspired sleep suites are designed to feel calm and comfortable rather than clinical•because exceptional diagnostics and an exceptional patient experience shouldn't be mutually exclusive. The Role As one of the foundational members of our sleep lab team, you'll perform comprehensive polysomnographic testing for both adult and pediatric patients while helping us establish the clinical standards, workflows, and culture of a new sleep center. You'll work closely with our Medical Director and interdisciplinary clinical team and have an opportunity to help shape how sleep diagnostics are delivered at REST. Key Responsibilities Perform attended diagnostic polysomnography and therapeutic/titration studies according to physician orders and established protocols. Prepare patients for testing and apply electrodes and sensors to obtain EEG, EOG, EMG, ECG, airflow, respiratory effort, oxygen saturation, and other required physiologic measurements. Monitor patients throughout testing, recognize abnormal respiratory patterns, cardiac arrhythmias, and other clinically significant events, and initiate appropriate interventions according to established protocols. Perform PAP titration and other therapeutic interventions as ordered and within scope of practice. Perform sleep studies on adult and pediatric patients ; candidates with adult experience who are interested in pediatric training are encouraged to apply. Review, score, and summarize sleep study data according to current AASM standards and laboratory protocols. Document patient history, questionnaires, technical observations, interventions, and study information accurately within the sleep laboratory system/EHR. Perform equipment setup, calibration, troubleshooting, cleaning, and routine quality checks. Educate patients and families about the sleep study process and help create a calm, reassuring experience before and throughout testing. Work independently during overnight testing while communicating effectively with the Medical Director and broader clinical team. Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives. Assist with development and refinement of sleep laboratory protocols and workflows as REST grows. Support preparation for and ongoing compliance with AASM accreditation standards . Participate in ongoing education and maintain required credentials and competencies. Perform other responsibilities consistent with the evolving needs of a growing sleep center. What We're Looking For Required Current Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) credential through the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT), or equivalent nationally recognized sleep technology credential acceptable under applicable AASM standards. Current BLS certification. Demonstrated competency in comprehensive polysomnographic testing and scoring. Strong clinical judgment and ability to recognize and respond appropriately to clinically significant events. Ability to work independently in an overnight sleep laboratory environment. Excellent communication skills and a genuine commitment to patient-centered care. Preferred 2+ years of polysomnographic technologist experience. Experience working within an AASM-accredited sleep center . Pediatric polysomnography experience. Experience with PAP titration and complex sleep-disordered breathing. Experience with HSAT setup, education, downloading, and processing. Experience with sleep lab startup, accreditation, quality assurance, or protocol development. Who Will Thrive at REST We're looking for more than technical competency. You'll be joining REST at the beginning, which means you'll have the opportunity to help shape how we work rather than simply stepping into a system that has existed for decades. The right person is curious, collaborative, comfortable with change, meticulous about clinical quality, and excited by the opportunity to build something new. You take pride in obtaining an excellent study•but you care just as much about how the patient felt while you were doing it. If you've ever thought, "There has to be a better way to do this," we'd like to meet you. Join REST We're building a new standard for sleep and airway diagnostics in the Southeast•and we're looking for people who want to help build it with us. Please submit your resume/CV and a brief introduction describing your experience in sleep medicine and what interests you about joining REST Airway Health to
