This is an exciting opportunity for someone interested in sleep medicine who wants to work in a collaborative, patient-centered environment and continue developing their skills in polysomnography. Who We Are REST Airway Health is a comprehensive Airway Diagnostic Center and Sleep Lab bringing physicians, dentists, and airway specialists together to evaluate complex breathing, sleep, and craniofacial health concerns from multiple perspectives. Our multidisciplinary team includes specialists in: Sleep medicine ENT and sleep surgery Airway-focused dentistry Orthodontics Orofacial myofunctional therapy Rather than evaluating patients in isolation, our specialists collaborate to develop thoughtful, coordinated treatment recommendations. We've also intentionally reimagined the sleep-study experience. Our private, hotel-inspired sleep suites are designed to feel calm and comfortable rather than clinical—because excellent diagnostics and an exceptional patient experience should go hand in hand. The Role As a Sleep Technician, you will assist with and perform overnight polysomnographic testing for adult and pediatric patients in accordance with physician orders, established laboratory protocols, your demonstrated competencies, and applicable supervision requirements. You'll work closely with our Registered Polysomnographic Technologists, Medical Director, and interdisciplinary clinical team. Because REST is building a new sleep center, you'll also have the opportunity to contribute to the development of our workflows, patient experience, and laboratory culture. Key Responsibilities Prepare patients for overnight sleep studies and explain testing procedures in a calm, reassuring manner. Apply electrodes and sensors necessary to collect EEG, EOG, EMG, ECG, airflow, respiratory effort, oxygen saturation, and other required physiologic measurements. Perform appropriate equipment setup and pre-study calibrations. Monitor patients and physiologic data throughout overnight testing. Recognize and appropriately communicate abnormal respiratory patterns, oxygen desaturation, cardiac abnormalities, and other clinically significant events according to laboratory protocols. Assist with diagnostic polysomnography and therapeutic/titration studies according to physician orders, laboratory protocols, training, and demonstrated competency. Perform PAP-related procedures when appropriately trained and permitted under laboratory protocols. Accurately document patient history, questionnaires, technical observations, interventions, and study information within the sleep laboratory system/EHR. Assist with equipment troubleshooting, cleaning, disinfection, maintenance, and quality checks. Help patients and families feel comfortable and informed throughout the sleep-study experience. Work effectively during overnight shifts while maintaining appropriate communication with supervising technologists, the Medical Director, and the clinical team. Participate in quality assurance and performance-improvement activities. Assist with the development and refinement of sleep-laboratory workflows and protocols as REST grows. Support preparation for and ongoing compliance with applicable sleep-laboratory and AASM accreditation standards. Participate in ongoing education and competency training. Perform additional responsibilities consistent with the needs of a growing sleep center. What We're Looking ForRequired High school diploma or equivalent. Current BLS certification or ability to obtain prior to independent patient-care responsibilities. Interest in sleep medicine and polysomnography. Ability to work overnight shifts. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate clinical documentation. Ability to follow established clinical protocols and physician orders. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care. Willingness to complete required training and demonstrate competency in assigned sleep-technology procedures. Preferred Previous sleep-laboratory or polysomnography experience. Completion of a sleep-technology education or training program. Experience applying PSG electrodes and physiologic monitoring equipment. Experience working with PAP therapy or titration studies. Pediatric sleep-study experience. Experience with HSAT setup, patient education, downloading, or processing. Experience with an AASM-accredited sleep center. Current or planned pursuit of the Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) credential. Healthcare experience involving direct patient care.
