Job Description

Category Schools - LPN Nurse Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting student health in a school setting near Rowland Heights, CA. This full-time role is designed for a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) seeking to make a real difference on a 1:1 basis with a 5th grade female student. The assignment runs from ASAP through December 17, 2026, offering stability and the chance to become an integral part of a student's daily life. In this position, you'll accompany the student on the bus each day, providing skilled nursing care and ensuring her safety and well-being throughout the school day. The schedule is tentative with Monday hours from 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM and longer shifts Tuesday through Friday, ending between 4:15 and 4:30 PM.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver 1:1 nursing support for a 5th grade female student, including toileting assistance and addressing daily health needs Ride the bus with the student to and from school each day Respond promptly and accurately to health emergencies, including seizure management and administration of emergency medication Maintain accurate documentation and communication with educational and medical teams Foster a supportive, safe, and positive environment for your student
Qualifications:
Current, active LVN license (California) Up-to-date CPR/BLS certification Previous experience supporting pediatric patients in a school or similar setting Solid understanding of seizure protocols and emergent medication administration Comfortable with toileting care and providing empathetic support This contract assignment offers the opportunity to work on-site in a close-knit educational community and help a young student thrive.
